Job Purpose The Financial Controller (Taiwan) is responsible for leading all finance, accounting, taxation, and compliance activities in line with Taiwan regulations and Bürkert group policies. This role ensures statutory and management reporting integrity, supports business decision-making through financial insights, and upholds strong governance, internal controls, and cost efficiency, administrative affairs management and personnel management. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Compliance •Lead all accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes in accordance with Taiwan laws, regulations, and group policies. •Manage local taxation matters in collaboration with external tax consultants (VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing). •Ensure compliance with Taiwan’s financial and regulatory frameworks (MOF, Company Act, Labor Act, Tax Bureau reporting) and maintain strong internal controls. Operational Finance & Treasury •Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payment cycles, and monitor business-related disbursements. •Maintain healthy cash flow through regular forecasting, cash management, and treasury control. •Drive cost management, product costing, and cost center tracking for improved operational efficiency. •Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing, including statutory accounts and audit readiness. Business Partnering & Strategic Support •Provide financial insights, variance analysis, and recommendations to management to support decision-making. •Collaborate closely with regional finance and headquarters to ensure alignment with group reporting standards (IFRS and group GAAP). •Support HR-related processes (payroll accuracy, employee cost reporting, compliance with local labor and tax laws). •Contribute to workforce planning, business planning, and cross-functional projects.

Qualifications •Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification in Taiwan strongly preferred. •Minimum 8 years’ experience in financial control, statutory accounting, or management accounting, ideally in multinational or matrixed organizations. •In-depth knowledge of Taiwan’s financial, tax, and labor regulations; proven experience working with external auditors and tax consultants. •Strong regional exposure, preferably in Asia-Pacific or multi-country environments. •Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial reporting tools. •Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. •Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across borders. •Hands-on, detail-oriented, with both strategic thinking and operational delivery capability. ________________________________________ Bürkert Competencies Behavioral Competencies •Customer Orientation – Anticipates internal/external customer needs and provides high-quality service and solutions. •Collaboration & Teamwork – Builds trust-based relationships across functions and geographies; fosters open communication. •Accountability & Ownership – Takes full responsibility for outcomes; delivers reliably on commitments. •Change Agility – Adapts quickly to new situations, challenges, and evolving group policies/regulations. •Strategic Thinking – Balances long-term perspective with operational detail to enable sustainable business decisions. Functional Competencies •Financial Expertise – Deep understanding of Taiwan accounting standards, IFRS, taxation, and compliance frameworks. •Risk & Governance – Strong capability in implementing internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance assurance. •Business Acumen – Ability to link financial insights to operational efficiency and commercial decision-making. •Technology & Systems – Skilled in ERP (SAP) and financial reporting tools (Pivot Table); leverages data to improve accuracy and speed. •People & Leadership – Guides and supports local team members; builds cross-border alignment with regional/global stakeholders. •Communication skills – Fluency in English listening, speaking, reading and writing is a must. Supervisors are Australian and German.
