2. Support Molex Greater China IP team to flexibly process the IP missions
3. Support Molex (and potentially Koch’s) global legal team when needed
Our Team
1. Support various BU in APAC (main locations at Greater China and Singapore) with respect to product design
2. Working with IP teams from around the world to protect and enforce Molex IP
What You Will Do
1. Conduct searches to support freedom to operate for new Molex product designs to avoid infringement of competitors' patent.
2. Help train the Molex engineering teams to improve Molex’s ability to obtain strong IP protection.
3. Support Legal department in handling China IP legal issues, including investigations into potential infringement of Molex IP by outside companies.
4. Support Molex’s outside IP law firms in reviewing their work, including reviewing of drafted patents and other IP related documents, to ensure the scope of IP protection is reasonable and supports Molex’s long-term goals.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
EDUCATION:
REQUIRED: Major of Electronics / Electrical Engineering /
WORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED: At least 8 years in IP / law firm.
Demonstrated understanding of patent claim interpretation
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
REQUIRED:
- Familiar with Patent Search
- English language skills - verbal, read & written.
What Will Put You Ahead
Understanding of technical operation of antennas and related communication circuits
PREFERRED:
- Experience in IP Opposition / Invalidation
- Experience in IP Investigation and the process of enforcement.

1. Draft and review contracts and other legal documents.

As a patent engineer at Biogate, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Biogate's innovation to gain a competitive edge. You will collaborate with our different teams to fortify our intangible assets and ensure they align with strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with our research and product development teams for patent mining and portfolio diversification.
2. Draft patent applications and work closely with the in-house legal team and outside counsel for patent prosecution, license, invalidation, and litigation matters.
3. Conduct patent searches and analyses to identify gaps in the competitive landscape and opportunities for patenting inventions.
4. Provide patent analysis and advisement in non-infringement, invalidity, FTO, etc.
5. Continuously evaluate the patent portfolio to assess its relevance and validity and to ensure alignment with business goals.
6. Provide support in internal and cross-department projects.
7. Provide intellectual property training to Engineering personnel.
Requirements:
1. Good English communication ability with a TOEIC score of 800 or above is required.
2. Familiar with patent laws and practices in various jurisdictions is a plus; familiar with patent prosecution and , including the U.S. and Taiwan, is a must.
3. At least 5-y related experience in patent application and management is preferred.
1. More than 5 years of experience in the semiconductor field for patent preparation and prosecution.
2. College or university graduate, majored in Electrical Engineering/Electronics/Materials Science/Physics Related.
3. Good command of English; capable of drafting application and responding to OA in English directly; capable of communicating to US Patent Attorney in English.
4. Licensed Taiwan Patent Attorney or Patent Agent is preferred.
5. Familiar with computer operations.
1. 5年以上電子相關行業專利撰寫及申請經驗,且具有半導體領域之美國專利撰寫經驗。
2. 大專電機、電子、材料、物理相關系所畢業。
3. 精通英文,能直接以英文撰寫專利說明書,並能直接與美國專利律師以英文溝通。
4. 具有中華民國專利師或專利代理人資格者尤佳。
5. 熟電腦操作。
