This position is part of the Air Liquide Advanced Materials Business Unit which focuses on highly specialized molecules that support the electronics industry. Reporting to the Quality Ops Manager, the Quality Assurance Specialist will achieve site goals in the areas of manufacturing quality, technology advancement, productivity, off-spec elimination, non-conformance elimination, customer satisfaction, and cost reduction. The Quality Assurance Specialist will support all site groups in the form of data analysis and consolidation and the tracking and reporting of KPIs. The team member in this position will perform activities that ensure required quality and safety standards are being met for our products. Responsibilities: ● Coordinate QA, QC, and manufacturing batch record information to disposition raw materials, work in process and/or finished goods. ● Maintain an effective system for CoA generation for finished goods. This includes specification review and data analysis related to control limits and customer specifications for shipping limits. ● Collaborate colsely with production, maintenance, warehouse, and other functions to enable process and/or product optimization, problem prevention, ensure analytical systems are performing optimally, and identify and apply best practices across multiple sites. ● Demostrate confidence in leading and implementing organizational change for solutions of complex problems and identifies deviations from accepted practice. Resolve quality related issues through leadership within material review boards. ● Support compliance QMS and customer audits in addition to leading internal audits. ● Promote a culture of safety by meeting or exceeding company safety standars, with the belief that all incidents are preventable through proactive risk management. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Cooperate with R&D researchers to generate the technical data and services for materials promotions including customer feedback tracking. 2. Assist R&D researchers to find out the RcA of customers complaint, but also hand-over of his/her specific technical work package to lab relevant colleagues (QC) for following quality tracking. 4. Foster experience exchange and promote knowledge transfer between sites within the region. 5. Provide technical training to customers about material, processing and design guideline. 6. Establish new testing method, SOP which are able to simulate real situation as close as customers in strategic key industries. 7. Knowledge of common laboratory procedures and skill and mechanical aptitude in handling laboratory equipment as well as modifying/adapting laboratory equipment for specific development programs. 8. Work together with production, product management. Assist Head of Innovation TPU APAC to manage day to day business. Value added: 1. 【The Role】 • In the role of the Equipment Engineering Manager, you will be responsible to build a team and execute the strategy for the acquisition/startup of Custom Manufacturing Equipment to meet the demand plans for New and Existing products. • You will work with the Manufacturing Process Engineers, Operations Management, New Product Introduction engineers, Maintenance, Facilities and EHS teams to make sure that all equipment is designed, maintained and managed for maximum safety, efficiency, lifetime operation and Total Cost of Ownership. 【In this role you will】 • Develop a process to meet the Plant Capacity needs for Product Introduction timelines. This includes establishing capabilities for membrane formation/cleaning, filter assembly/bonding, wet bench/cleaning, testing, and packaging/finishing equipment. • Learn from the existing factory teams and baseline current capabilities/designs to recommend changes in equipment design to improve cost, quality, reliability and safety. • Directly manage a team of Equipment Engineers responsible for the following: o Engage with a variety of stakeholders including, Facilities and EHS, Procurement, R&D, Maintenance and Reliability, Automation/Controls Engineering and Operations personnel to lead needed capital through the entire process – from justification to commissioning and qualification. o Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Maintenance and Reliability (DfMR) principles to optimally design and build necessary equipment o This may include chairing HAZOp assessment teams during design phase. o Use a variety of inputs to develop a coherent specification document that clearly defines all aspects of the project. o Manage projects to stay within timing, budget and quality constraints. o Use core project management principles and techniques to report progress to Management team. o Use CAD to design equipment/subcomponents and source/create fixtures to enable the assets to be used for a variety of form factors and process flows. o Work with Engineers, Maintenance and Reliability personnel and Operations to define PM programs (including spares inventories, frequency and timing, etc) for new assets. May require the use of criticality assessments and FMEA’s in concert with the Engineering staff. o Use plant layouts and new asset specifications to work with stakeholders to optimize the asset within the context of the Manufacturing cell area. • Define and own a site Equipment Roadmap and be the primary driver behind its delivery. • Assist with classic New Product/Process Engineering responsibilities if the business dictates. (1)Product Development Support (30%) -Coordinate with suppliers for quality and timely product delivery. -Review supplier’s tool design, process flow, equipment selection, and DOE proposals to ensure design meet compliance. -Review progress of development activities at supplier locations. -Assess supplier readiness to support pilot run and 1st mass production. -Provide team members with feedback about factory productivity and product reliability. -Initiates or directs design changes to ensure product meets regulatory compliance. -Review BOM construction for parts compatibility. -Cost construction analysis and evaluation. -Work with US design engineering team and suppliers on drawing updates. -Communicate foreseen issues with Product Team for discussion, possible solution and implementation. (2)Design support (30%) -Work closely with US Industrial Design team and US Design Engineering team to create and refine product concepts, CAD models and technical drawings to meet performance, safety, and cost requirements. -Work closely with US Design Engineer team, Safety team and QA to create the Test Plan documenting testing needed for qualification and on-going production monitoring. -Prepare and maintain design specifications and Engineering documentation consistent with QBP standards. -Conduct simulations, prototype testing, and design validation to identify and resolve technical issues. -Support jig and fixture creation. (E-Bike fixture and others) -Familiarity with SolidWorks for 2D/ 3D Modeling. -Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the design documentation and Test Plan are aligned with QBP’s requirements. (3) QC support (20%) -Facilitate effective FAI (First Article Inspection) and New Model Release (NMR) process with a clear inspection and test criteria for quality control in production phase. -Ensure the product packing in good condition to avoid the damage happened during shipment. -Work with QC team to create necessary quality documents and standards. -Interpret engineering drawing including GD&T. (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) -Lead or support trouble shooting and resolving issues according to CAPA process. -Support production drawing revision and ECN (Engineering Change Notice) process. (4)Project management (10%) -Work with Q-Taiwan Project Coordination team to organize project kick-off, review, and project status update meeting. -Work with Project Coordination team to ensure project schedule remains on time -Facilitate transparent visibility and effective task results through Workfront. -Use visual tools to manage both research and development projects. (5)Supply Chain Support (10%) -Share the new technology and specification by building up the related documents. -Support new supplier development and evaluation. -Support sourcing activities and new and existing supplier audits. -Successfully lead new project phasing into production by organizing test & pilot run implementation; connecting with Supply Chain team for problem prevention, including capacity, material preparation and costs.
