The Sr. Staff/Staff Engineer, Power PSU/BBU/ESS will be based in Taiwan Taipei Wugu Site. These roles perform the responsibility for system design in Tier 1 customer's BBU/ESS Projects request.
What a typical day looks like:
• Design high power density AC/DC and DC/DC BBU (Battery Backup Unit) system for server, telecom, datacenter and industrial application.
• Support RFI and RFQ and provide design proposal.
• Provide BBU design solution to implement design review with customer
• Experience in leading R&D team is preferred
• Component standardization, optimize design and deep drive on cost reduction
• Overall project responsibility in all aspects on EE design related- from project kick off to end of M.P.
• Tolerance analysis & simulation and Issue solving
The experience we are looking to add to our team:
• Bachelor or above degree in electronics or electrical
• 8+ years' experience for PSU, UPS, BBU or EV charger design
• Be highly passionate and interested in BBU development and capability of team work in multi-task environment
• Solid understanding of software implementation/design experience is required.
• Capability of independent research and working with new technologies is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills (in Mandarin and English) is required.
• With strong sense of responsibility (be able to go on business trips, dispatch overseas is preferred)

Hardware Engineer will work with Product Owner, Software team, NPI team and Contract Manufacturer for being the focal point of delivering hardware solution and product design per request, both internal and external.
Responsibilities
• Design hardware solution (System of Systems) to fulfill company's goal
• Owns EE design of the rugged products based on ARM or x86
- Create and maintain OrCAD schematic
- Create layout guide and work with layout house
- Guide rest of team through PCB fab's EQ process
• Work with Mechanical Engineers and NPI Process Engineers for DFM
• Create and maintain debugging procedures
* Extensive experience with standard MCU peripheral and system resources:
- Clock trees, crystal oscillators, PLLs, RTCs, watch-dogs
- Timers, counters, PWMs
- Communication interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, and USB; I3C,Ethernet, CAN a plus
- Analog peripherals including ADCs, DACs, opamps, and comparators
- Multiple volatile and non-volatile memory types including external memory interfaces and memory cards
* Skilled at power and performance optimization strategies
* Experience with one or more of the following:
- Security principles and cryptographic methods
- Machine Learning including model development and training
- Embedded graphics systems and interfaces
- Embedded video systems and interfaces including compression/decompression
* Experience with printed circuit board design including schematic capture and layout
* Skilled with use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, bus analyzers and related electronic equipment for use in test and debug
* Ability to problem solve and systematically work to root cause
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Hardware Board Development Engineer with 10–15 years of hands-on experience in hardware system design. This role focuses on the development of evaluation boards (EVBs) and customer reference boards (CRB) for advanced SoC/ASIC platforms, including board-level architecture, high-speed signal design, and system bring-up.
You will work closely with SoC/ASIC design teams, firmware engineers, and validation teams to deliver robust reference platforms for internal and customer use. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in DDR4/DDR5, PCIe Gen4/5/6, high-speed SerDes, and power delivery networks, along with strong debugging and lab skills.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and development of SoC/ASIC evaluation boards, including schematic capture, PCB layout review, and component selection.
* Perform board bring-up, signal integrity validation, and system-level debugging.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SoC/ASIC validation and customer reference designs.
* Conduct SI/PI simulations and optimize high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, Ethernet).
* Generate technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and design guides.
* Interface with vendors and manufacturing teams for prototype builds and production support.
Key job responsibilities:
• Minimum 10 years of technical working experience, and knowledge of consumer, enterprise, and handheld product design
• Expertise in embedded system design, system PWR architecture, and related electrical design skillset & knowledge
• Expertise in electrical engineering and knowledge of multiple related areas (e.g. SoC architecture, DCDC power design)
• Expertise in electrical engineering and knowledge of multiple related areas (Signal Integrity/Power Integrity, and various communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, etc.
• Familiar with battery knowhow experience, and power budget estimation.
• Experience and familiarity with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, current/voltage probes, power meters, data loggers, and electronic loads.
Reporting to MOSFET Development Manager, you will work as Sr. MOS Development Engineer to be responsible for process integration, development and optimization.
About the job:
Work with product designer to create new device structure ideas and develop the necessary Mosfet/ IGBT /Diode technologies
Closely work with internal process experts and external foundry partners to set up the required technologies and processes to produce the prototypes and with test labs to assess results vs. simulations / expected behavior.
Responsible for experimental matrix design to evaluate and optimize design vs. specification.
Co-work with fab engineering teams to generate the final design rule menu and electrical parametric specifications.
Participation in fab selection and evaluation for future foundry locations.
Participate and help the Design Engineers and Product Engineers on reverse engineering analysis when necessary.
Act as the internal expert of semiconductor devices and processes to provide the necessary information and advices to designers on new technologies.
Short term travels for business trips and trainings.
About you:
Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, such as Diode, BJT, MOSFET, and IGBT…etc and understanding of complex interactions between different fabrication processes.
Experiences in semiconductor process development, and basic knowledge in semiconductor device characterization.
Ability of arranging tests with 3rd party labs and comfortable with working in Lab for device characterization.
Good writing/reading/communication in English is a MUST.
The ability to operate independently in a cross-cultural working environment.
Experiences in both conventional Bipolar, CMOS, DMOS processe
Understanding or experiences in power semiconductor devices assembly and applications would be preferred.
Knowledge and experiences of material analysis or Failure analysis tools, such as SRP, SIMS, SEM…etc.
Familiar with mask generation, wafer fab process flow and in-line/PCM specifications.
Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas would be a plus, but not must:
o Test pattern generation
o Semiconductor process/device modeling
o Basic assembly & test processes.
