As a Packaging Graphic Designer, you will support the full lifecycle of packaging development from concept through production. You will work closely with business unit directors, packaging developers, suppliers, and cross-functional partners (product, marketing, sourcing) to develop packaging solutions that are visually appealing, cost-efficient, and aligned with brand strategy.
Your role will involve ideation, artwork design, material selection, sample prototyping, and print vendor liaison. You will learn and grow under mentorship, gaining practical exposure to global packaging standards, vendor networks, and sustainable material practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop creative packaging concepts and visual themes in response to product briefs and brand guidelines
• Generate mood boards, sketches, design proposals, and visual explorations
• Execute final packaging artwork: graphics, labels, copy, and production-ready documentation.
• Select appropriate packaging materials (paperboard, corrugate, molded pulp, plastics, etc.) and propose material alternatives
• Construct structural layouts, create technical drawings, and maintain packaging specifications with packaging developers.
• Coordinate with suppliers, printers, and sample houses to produce prototypes and pre-production samples
• Review printing proofs, perform quality checks, and ensure design intent is preserved
• Ensure artwork designs meet manufacturability, cost targets, and sustainability goals
• Collaborate cross functionally (product development, marketing, procurement, quality) to align packaging with overall objectives
• Manage file versioning, organize artwork assets, and maintain clean design documentation
• Support packaging cost estimation, lifecycle assessments, and sustainable packaging initiatives
