【Role Overview】
The Director of Business Development will lead the strategy, execution, and growth of new business opportunities for The Icons. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding partnerships, driving revenues, and ensuring that business objectives are met through client acquisition, retention, and scalable growth models.
【Key Responsibilities】
● Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with corporate goals, market trends, and competitive landscape.
● Identify new market opportunities, sectors, and strategic partners.
● Lead sales efforts, including lead generation, deal negotiation, proposal development, and closing.
● Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current clients to maximize retention, upsell, and referrals.
● Collaborate cross-functionally (product, marketing, operations, finance) to ensure offerings meet client needs and deliverables are fulfilled.
● Monitor, analyze, and report on market trends, competitor activity, and performance metrics; adjust strategy accordingly.
● Build, mentor, and manage a team (if applicable) of business development / sales professionals.
● Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and growth targets; ensure KPIs are met or exceeded.
● Represent The Icons at industry events, conferences, and in key meetings to raise visibility and credibility.
● Ensure contract / proposal / pricing processes follow internal protocols and legal/compliance standards.
【Qualifications】
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
● Minimum 6 years of proven experience in business development / sales leadership, preferably in [industry relevant to The Icons].
● Demonstrated track record of generating new business, closing deals, and meeting revenue targets.
● Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
● Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex deals.
● Comfortable with travel as needed.
● Experience leading or managing a team is a plus.
● Knowledge of / experience in Marcom / Sustainability is beneficial.
