【Position Purpose】Responsible for research and development related to CAR gene design and molecular technology.
【About the role】
Due to the expansion of our preclinical R&D capabilities, ARCE Therapeutics, Inc. (ARCE) is seeking a highly innovative and accountable scientist of cell drug discovery with enthusiasm to develop the next generation cell therapies. In this position, you will lead an R&D team to initiate and execute projects focusing on new cell drug discovery studies, and work closely with the CMC/clinical team to implement ARCE's research strategies and pipeline programs all the way from POC to IND submission in alignment with ARCE's goal.
【Key Responsibilities】
• Develop and establish new technologies to support a cutting-edge research and development program in the field of CAR-T/CAR-NK cell therapy, focusing on cancer research
• Conduct research in areas including molecular biology, T/NK cell biology, T/NK cell signaling & metabolism
• Identify, prioritize, and implement new research and development opportunities and projects.
• Lead a team of scientists including technicians
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
【Requirements】
• Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, pharmacology or a related field of T/NK cell signaling and metabolism.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in current molecular techniques and cell bioassays related to cell phenotypes and biological activities
• With knowledge of designing the cell products with desired MOAs.
• Ability to prioritize research activities and work independently and efficiently
• Keen problem identification and solving skills
• Leadership and teamwork skills
【Physical Requirements/Working Conditions】
Occasional travel required. Ability to work in a biosafety level 2 lab setting.
【Supervisor】
Responsible for R&D scientists and technicians in the R&D lab. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
