The Role
We’re looking for an Embedded Software Engineer who’s ready to take complete ownership of the low-level systems powering our autonomous vessels. At Hyarks, we’re not just building boats—we’re redefining offshore and maritime operations with cutting-edge robotics. Our platforms, the H1 and TF100, are designed for specialized maritime missions, and we need someone who will build their embedded systems from the ground up.
If you thrive on solving tough hardware/software challenges, integrating sensors and actuators, and optimizing performance in real-world conditions, this is your chance to make a direct and lasting impact. This isn’t a role for those who just want to write code—it’s for engineers who want to own the entire embedded stack, from firmware and drivers to real-time control and sensor data pipelines.
You will work with IMUs, GPS, cameras, LiDAR, sonar, and multiple actuator types, ensuring robust performance across diverse operating conditions. Power management, reliability, and precision will be your domain. We operate in a fast-moving startup environment, meaning you’ll have both the autonomy and responsibility to shape the core technology that makes our vessels truly autonomous.
If you’ve got a strong C/C++ background, real-time operating system (RTOS) experience, and microcontroller expertise, you’ll feel right at home. Familiarity with ROS or drone development will give you an edge—much of the innovation in autonomous flight translates directly to our work at sea.
