[General Summary]
As a forward-thinking technology company, Augentix advances the limits of innovation in "Industrial and Embedded IoT" to deliver next-generation experiences and accelerate digital transformation toward a smarter, more seamlessly connected world.
As a Platform Security Architect, you will lead the design and deployment of comprehensive, full-stack security architecture across silicon, firmware, system software, and board-level implementations. Your work will span secure chip design, trusted firmware flows, platform attestation, and secure PCB interfaces, enabling resilient products for industrial and connected IoT environments. You will drive security strategy from threat modeling to certification support, collaborating across hardware, software, and system teams to deliver solutions that meet global security standards and regional compliance frameworks. This role is central to ensuring platform trustworthiness across the entire product lifecycle, from development to deployment and beyond.
[Responsibilities]
★ Define platform security architecture encompassing SoC, firmware, OS, and PCB/system-level security features.
★ Establish and maintain security requirements and threat models across the full HW+SW+Board stack.
★ Drive the definition of Root of Trust, secure boot, key management, and secure provisioning across manufacturing stages.
★ Collaborate with firmware/software teams to design secure monitor flows, TEE integration, and trusted hypervisors.
★ Perform HW/SW co-analysis of attack surfaces and propose layered mitigations.
★ Provide architectural guidance and reference designs to support customers in meeting regional security certification requirements, such as India's STQC.
★ Lead system security architecture reviews and ensure secure interfaces (e.g., debug access, JTAG, interconnects) at the board level.
★ Evaluate and integrate security technologies such as ARM TrustZone, Realm Management Extension (RME), and embedded secure enclaves where applicable.
★ Define and review secure PCB design practices including tamper resistance, secure element integration, and secure debug.
★ Contribute to secure lifecycle processes, including provisioning, attestation, and over-the-air update integrity.
★ Study and apply IoT and automotive security standards, including TAICS, OWASP, and ISO-related frameworks, to align with global and local compliance requirements.
★ Interface with customers, ecosystem partners, and standards bodies on security requirements and architecture alignment.
★ Occasional business travel across APAC and other regions may be required.
[Minimum Qualifications]
★ Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
★ Hands-on experience in hardware and firmware-level security architecture.
★ Strong understanding of embedded software security, including bootloaders, secure firmware, and OS-level protections.
★ Familiarity with secure PCB/system design, including interface protection, secure debug, and HW root of trust.
★ Deep understanding of ARM-based isolation mechanisms, including TrustZone and optionally RME.
★ Proficiency in threat modeling, attack surface reduction, and security validation.
★ Ability to author and communicate security architecture documentation clearly and effectively across disciplines.
[Preferred Qualifications]
★ Experience with industrial/IoT security requirements, including secure provisioning, anti-tamper, and secure communication.
★ Familiarity with security certification processes (e.g., STQC, PSA, FIPS).
★ Knowledge of applied cryptography and security protocols.
★ Demonstrated experience driving security in cross-functional system-level projects.
★ Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
★ Comfortable working in a globally distributed, cross-disciplinary engineering team.
