Position Overview: The Global Tools & Storage (GTS) division of SBD, which drives $10B of the total $14B business, is currently seeking an Industrial Designer. This position will report to the Portfolio Design Manager, as part of the larger Global Industrial Design team. This position will support end user insights, innovation, industrial design, surfacing, digital visualization and prototyping for several key brand franchises. These include, Stanley, Black + Decker, DEWALT, Craftsman, Mac Tools, Porter Cable, Bostitch, Irwin & Lenox. Who We’re Looking For: You will actively participate in the design and development of essential product categories including tool bags, toolboxes, safety gear, and hand tools—products that are primarily targeted for the European and North American markets. This role presents the opportunity to set trends and shape the future of industrial tools, balancing performance, ergonomics, and fashion-forward aesthetics that define the next generation of global tool design. Responsibilities: - Manage daily industrial design responsibilities for the supported projects - Participate in the design and development of tool bags, toolboxes, safety equipment, and hand tools - Produce inspiring sketches/illustrations/visuals of advanced industrial design concepts - Develop a mastery of the respective brand design languages - Produce conceptual CAD and to support the industrial design ideation/illustration process - Support and participate in field research activities - New Product Ideation and brainstorming support Education/Qualifications: - BS, BA or equivalent in Industrial Design - 1-3 years design experience required (internships experience included) - Proficiency with common design tools (Sketchbook Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, Keyshot, Wacom tablet, etc.) - Experience with 3D CAD solid and surfacing modeling, CATIA experience desirable - Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) - Ability to quickly conceptualize ideas. - A strong understanding of design principles and a sense for brand aesthetics. - Basic understanding of manufacturing processes. - Exceptional sketching and visualizing skills. - Ability to communicate industrial design intent through CAD - Great communication & collaboration abilities with other disciplines. - Excellent creative problem solving. - Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities. - Strong project and time management skills.

The Job As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous supply and timely delivery of production and non-production materials to maintain optimal efficiency and effectiveness of the production line. Your role will involve scheduling and releasing shipments for open purchase orders, work orders, and kanbans, while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory for specified sources of supply and product portfolios. You will also monitor supplier capacity against incoming customer orders and forecasts, handle quality issues related to on-time delivery and non-conforming shipments, and resolve invoice exceptions and price discrepancies. You’ll get to: • Coordinate with the Traffic department for expedited, re-consigned, or diverted shipments based on production schedule changes to lead-time on material or products, and to expedite order placement. • Manage daily business relationships with approved suppliers and process purchase orders with approved suppliers as necessary. • Analyze service performance, inventory levels and premium costs to deliver customer line fill rate improvement to 95%; make recommendations to improve performance and work with the appropriate functional managers and teams to ensure metrics are achieved. • Ensure 100% on-time and complete product promotions/launches. • Drive the continuous improvement of Supply Planning and Supplier Management processes to achieve target stock. • Maintain accurate material master data and planning parameters for all finished goods or components. • Collaborate with Distribution Center, Transportation team, & Forwarder Agents for shipment delivery and OS&D discrepancies resolution. • Successfully deliver New Product launch & Sourcing Change transition through the stages of Capacity Evaluation, Set Up, Production & Market Delivery. • Work collaboratively with all functional areas of the business, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Sales Operations, & Demand Planning, etc. to solve problems and identify business improvement opportunities. • Lead or present as the voice of Supply Chain Ops at Capacity Planning, NPD, and Team Meetings, etc. The Person You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions.
