Our growing team is seeking an energetic Project Manager for our Taiwan office to lead activities across New Product Introduction (NPI), Sustaining Engineering, and Manufacturing Transfer processes, with direct responsibility for projects, teams, and customers from Project Kick-off through Pilot Production.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about employing a systems engineering mindset to lead complex technology projects and teams. AIS develops both standard products and OEM custom solutions, including electromechanical HMI assemblies such as medical, industrial, and aerospace display interfaces, touchscreens, control panels, virtual reality wearables, infection control products, and hand-held controls.
This critical role leads cross-functional teams, collaborates broadly with global AIS organizations, and serves as the primary customer interface.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical and business lead for internal and customer development teams; act as the main point of contact for communications, status updates, and issue resolution.
• Ensure all project activities align with global 1HMX development and manufacturing transfer processes.
• Work collaboratively to develop business cases, project proposals, scopes of work, and detailed project plans.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Software, Manufacturing, Reliability, and PCB Engineering functions.
• Proactively manage the “triple constraints” of scope, cost, and time.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring contingency plans are in place.
• Lead system-level design reviews and drive technical decision-making.
• Manage BOM and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through pre-production stages.
• Oversee prototype, Alpha (EVT), Beta (DVT), and Pilot Production (PVT) builds and approvals at stage gates.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships; manage expectations and ensure customer accountability.
• Track and report on project key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure timely execution and high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
Essential:
• Fluent in Mandarin and English.
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
• Engineering background aligned with AIS’s product portfolio.
• Experience with the full product development lifecycle and manufacturing environments.
• Experience collaborating across global teams, including alignment with US headquarters and manufacturing sites in the US, China, and India.
• Strong familiarity with supply chain management, vendor development, and component sourcing in Asia-Pacific environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project collaboration tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with customers, vendors, and factory teams.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., CE, UL, FCC).
• Understanding of reliability engineering methodologies (e.g., FMEA, environmental testing such as drop, vibration, ingress protection ratings [IPXX]).
• Proven problem-solving ability and a track record of driving issues to resolution.
• Self-starter with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
