■Drive sourcing decisions and strategy to ensure supply continuity with best business models and mitigate risk on lead time and cost impact to business.
■Ensure smooth product transition from NPI to volume manufacturing.
■Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define sourcing strategies/ plans for new projects.

We are seeking a highly experienced and self-driven Senior Engineer with a strong background in vacuum deposition systems and coating technologies. This role requires an individual capable of working independently and leading technical efforts while collaborating effectively across departments and with external partners.
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in vacuum deposition systems
• Expertise in coating processes is essential
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills in English; basic conversational proficiency in Chinese is required
• Demonstrated experience in collaborating with customers, vendors, and internal teams
• Capability and interest in taking on a leadership role
Identify, develop, and execute a portfolio of projects to deliver;
1. Technology into the Service Technology Centre network to advance the manufacturing capabilities and improving the STC operational KPIs.
2. Ensuring the technology achieves PPAP Level A and MCRL 8 by working alongside the specialists, STC manufacturing engineer and operational zone leaders.
3. Ensure you stay up to date with the latest manufacturing and digital technologies as this will enable you to be successful when communicating with specialists and operations.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to development of CAPEX projects of multiple million USD value. Under direction of senior manufacturing engineers develop concepts, produce designs, obtain quotes, produce project schedules, and perform safety assessments.
2. Support execution of CAPEX projects of multiple million USD value. Engage with suppliers and contractors to safely deliver project deliverables on schedule and on budget. Contribute to internal project meetings, spend and schedule tracking, engineering management reports, and post-project reviews and effectiveness measurement.
3. Support execution of portfolio of continuous improvement projects (CIP), consisting of;
a. projects proactively generated by engineering team through application of their knowledge and expertise and application of tools such as digital twin, complex factory simulations, manufacturing systems, and IT integration.
b. Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for both manufacturing and digital technology teams ensuring the requirements are robust, resource plans in place, and local supply chains / vendors are onboarded, all to ensure the successful introduction of future manufacturing and digital technologies.
4. Contribute to regular priority alignment and performance reviews with regional the STC operational teams and Innovation teams
5. Understand and validate the benefits of future technologies against the business case and agree with the business controller how they are seen within the STC balance sheet.
6. Implement internal directives, such as Service Information Bulletins, issued by global teams to address quality or operational issues
7. Support Vacuum Technique Production System (VTPS) and ensure future technologies align to its principles.
8. Operate the STC Permit, and Engineering Change applications for submission to internal change control council on behalf on the innovation team.
9. Execute program of engineering audits to ensure deviations from published standards are identified and addressed.
10. Manage own continuous development through application of structured planning & review process and identification/attendance of appropriate training programs.
