Job Summary: Designing analog and mixed-signal ICs for Power Management Products utilizing leading edge sub-micron BiCMOS /DMOS technologies. Products to be designed may include, switching regulators, display drivers, audio amplifiers and power management ICs for fast-growing portable and non-portable markets such as broadband modems, PDAs, notebooks, cell phones, telecom, fiber optics, digital camera, network equipment, and automotive. Essential Functions: • Works on product definition, circuit synthesis from the transistor/resistor level up to the system level, simulation, layout supervision • Participates in the entire product development cycle, from product definition through product release. The VLSI Physical Design Engineer is responsible for implementing and optimizing the layout of integrated circuits (ICs) from netlist to GDSII. This role plays a key part in turning high-level logic designs into manufacturable silicon chips, ensuring electrical performance, area, and power (PPA) goals are met, and the physical verification results are good. Key responsibilities: 1. Derive full-chip and block-level physical design from netlist to tape-out (netilst to GDSII). 2. Floorplanning, power planning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and layout verifications. 3. Work closely with front-end design, DFT, and package teams to ensure design closure. 4. Sign-off on signal integrity, power integrity, reliability and manufacturability including performing static timing analysis (STA), IR drop analysis, EM analysis, and physical verification (DRC/LVS/DFM). 5. Analyze, optimize and resolve congestion, timing, power integrity and signal integrity issues. 6. Create and maintain physical design automation Tcl scripts, and flows development for design implementation. 7. Interface with EDA tool vendors and foundries to ensure design compliance and manufacturability.

Job Summary: This position's responsibilities include enhancing and debugging power IC products, developing reference circuits, writing datasheets and application/design notes, and providing application support for key customers. Essential Functions: • Execute IC roadtest for system level IC verification. • Participate in product development process and communicate with TME/DE/PE teams to define new product’s features and IC revision items. • Design product documents and hardware/software including datasheets, evaluation board, application notes, GUI, benchmark reports. • Develop application reference circuits and support customers for schematic/layout review. • Provide application support for key customers and field application engineers. Qualifications: • MSEE or higher required and major in power electronics. • Basic knowledge in power electronics, including DC/DC converter, AC/DC converter, power devices, and magnetic components. • Hands-on experience in power circuit designs or modeling including DC/DC or AC/DC converter, inverter, or other state-of-the-art power topologies. • Experimental skills, including operation of oscilloscope, power supplies, function generator, network analyzer…etc. • Simulation skills, including software such as Simplis, Psim, SPICE…etc. • Average English capability of writing, reading, and speaking.

What you’ll be doing: Communicate between Master planner and factories to meet loading demands. Communicate between internal departments and factories to clarify issues related with spec / rule / definition. Experience in optimizing loading combination for merging and to define rules of implementation in system, work orders releasing ans inventory control. Ensure all released WIPs are well executed at the factories and all build plans are meeting the committed SODs and cycle time. Work/communicate with biz planning & Engr on DOE and urgent engineering demands. Continue to drive factory improvement; KPI includes SOD hit rate, cycle time, and efficiency. Drive factories on fixing real world operational problems to make sure execution happens, roadblock removal.
