【The Role】 • In the role of the Equipment Engineering Manager, you will be responsible to build a team and execute the strategy for the acquisition/startup of Custom Manufacturing Equipment to meet the demand plans for New and Existing products. • You will work with the Manufacturing Process Engineers, Operations Management, New Product Introduction engineers, Maintenance, Facilities and EHS teams to make sure that all equipment is designed, maintained and managed for maximum safety, efficiency, lifetime operation and Total Cost of Ownership. 【In this role you will】 • Develop a process to meet the Plant Capacity needs for Product Introduction timelines. This includes establishing capabilities for membrane formation/cleaning, filter assembly/bonding, wet bench/cleaning, testing, and packaging/finishing equipment. • Learn from the existing factory teams and baseline current capabilities/designs to recommend changes in equipment design to improve cost, quality, reliability and safety. • Directly manage a team of Equipment Engineers responsible for the following: o Engage with a variety of stakeholders including, Facilities and EHS, Procurement, R&D, Maintenance and Reliability, Automation/Controls Engineering and Operations personnel to lead needed capital through the entire process – from justification to commissioning and qualification. o Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Maintenance and Reliability (DfMR) principles to optimally design and build necessary equipment o This may include chairing HAZOp assessment teams during design phase. o Use a variety of inputs to develop a coherent specification document that clearly defines all aspects of the project. o Manage projects to stay within timing, budget and quality constraints. o Use core project management principles and techniques to report progress to Management team. o Use CAD to design equipment/subcomponents and source/create fixtures to enable the assets to be used for a variety of form factors and process flows. o Work with Engineers, Maintenance and Reliability personnel and Operations to define PM programs (including spares inventories, frequency and timing, etc) for new assets. May require the use of criticality assessments and FMEA’s in concert with the Engineering staff. o Use plant layouts and new asset specifications to work with stakeholders to optimize the asset within the context of the Manufacturing cell area. • Define and own a site Equipment Roadmap and be the primary driver behind its delivery. • Assist with classic New Product/Process Engineering responsibilities if the business dictates. Your key responsibilities will be: SHE, Quality & Security, Compliance and Management Systems: ISO 14001 Environment Management System: Act as the Management Representative for ISO 14001 environment management systems. Ensure that the management system is in place and maintained sustainable. Ensure a situable documentation system in place. Organize and conduct internal audits and management reviews within the organization and report the performance and recommend improvement opportunities to Management. Ensure compliance with relevant local laws and regulations; ENVALIOR SHE, Manufacturing, Quality and Security Requirements; ISO 9001and ISO 14001 requirements; and RoHS, REACH, and relevant customer requirements in the department. Ensure the management systems are effectively implemented and the requirements are followed in the department. Ensure that ENVALIOR Life Saving Rules are followed in TYN. Show leadership to promote safety and quality awareness, and safe and quality behavior in the department. Responsible for SHE and Quality performance in the department. Ensure that the working environment is safe and healthy. Participate as an active member of the Site Management Team for the Company’s safety, quality and environmental performance. Proactively communicate SHE and quality issues in the company, within own department and with external stakeholders. Coach subordinates for excellent SHE and quality performance. Ensure information security in the department Quality Assurance Approve product quality and release products.(deputy) Act as the Management Representative for the implementation of ISO 9001quality management systems. Ensure that the management system regarding Quality Assurance is in place and maintained sustainable. Ensure that a suitable documentation system is in place. Organize and conduct internal audits and management reviews within the organization and report the performance and recommended improvement opportunities to the Site Management. Provide guidance for all functions regarding quality assurance processes. Manufex and SAP Roles 1) Quality Manager in Quality Management Process: Process Owner of Quality Management, responsible for implementation of policy on Quality and quality management system Responsible for the implementation of the approved policy on Quality Responsible for having the quality management system validated by an independent party Responsible for defining Quality Performance Indicators Responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting on Quality Performance Indicators 2) Key User for Quality Management Process: Responsible for giving functional input for system customization Responsible for preparing master data for system testing Responsible for stand alone functionality test Responsible for preparing work instructions where applicable Responsible for preparing training materials in Chinese if applicable Responsible for supporting in master data cleaning, harmonization and data migration. Floor walk supporting immediately after go live. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or above with major in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, Environment or Safety or relative engineering. Good knowledge in ISO9001 and ISO14001. Local compliances/regulations related to Permits, Labor Law. Balanced temperament, able to work under pressure and prioritize. Ability to work in multicultural and international environment Good people management and communication skills. Good Computer skills. Good spoken and written in English and Mandarin. At least 10 years of experience in quality and SHE management; Experienced in project management; Certificates in environment/OSHA relevant.
