Technician will perform static and dynamic tests to help evaluate if all design criteria are met before production approval. They will also assist in development of future tests, evaluation of tested components and the evaluation of any non-conformities discovered in testing. As a member of a small team you will be expected to ‘wear many hats’ as we work together to develop industry leading bikes! Job Responsibilities: 1) Test Lab Testing (80% of workload) SBCT test lab development and day to day running. a. Coordinate testing requirements with development team including test request setup, required fixtures and procedures. b. Perform daily testing including setup, tear down and report writing documenting all results and failure locations. c. Organize all test items for future inspection and analysis. d. Schedule test items on the calendar dashboard to meet the development timeline. e. Ensure that all machines, tools and fixtures are receiving proper maintenance to obtain reliable test results and ensure their life is maximized. f. Determine all test lab fixture and tool requirements to optimize efficiency and throughput. Work with SBCMH and SBCT test labs to source and order items as needed based on capacity and demand. g. Work with SBC labs to determine the development of any new tests or test fixtures required to be performed at other testing locations h. Educate employees in other departments as required about test standards, results and logic behind the tests. i. Ensure appropriate and careful setting up the test sample, make sure all step follow WI. 2) Test Lab Improvement (10% of workload) a. Proposal the setup process improvement ideas, to make sure the test setup is obtained more efficiently. b. Collaboration with SBC Global test lab team to create or modify test item WI and report. Make sure the setup process matches WI document. 3) Lab environment maintenance (10% of workload) a. Maintain the work environment and ensure all tools and fixtures are stored in their proper places. b. Organize tools, fixtures, and workstations after use, and keep the environment as clean as possible.
