In the design-win phase, a FAE may work with sales/BDM/PM to visit customers for products/technical training, understand customers' needs, specifications, and expectations, then translating these technical inputs into technical requirements for the developer. In the design-in phase, a FAE may work with Product Managers, R&Ds and customers for specifications review, involving product/systems function testing, installing, trouble shooting and providing feedback/recommendations for product improvement.
