The Trade Lane Manager is responsible for overseeing and developing designated trade lanes. This role involves close coordination with overseas offices, clients, and carriers to optimize air freight operations, drive volume and profitability, and maintain high service standards.
Responsibilities
1. Manage and grow assigned trade lanes (e.g.,TWN - US/EU) for air freight.
2. Analyze lane performance metrics such as volume, profit, and cost; develop improvement plans accordingly.
3. Collaborate with global offices and partners to ensure smooth transport operations, service reliability, and cost control.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines, agents, and logistics service providers.
5. Support the sales team with pricing, project development, and trade lane promotion activities.
6. Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and flight capacity; provide strategic recommendations.
7. Prepare regular performance reports and present insights to senior management.
Qualifications
- 3 years working experience in air freight, trade lane management or business development.
- Solid understanding of international air freight procedures, customs regulations and compliance.
- Fluent English in Speaking/Reading/Writing
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and shipment tracking tools.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Negotiation and supplier management
- Analytical thinking and reporting capability

• To identify business opportunities and generate pipelines by joining exhibitions, delivering insurance talks and presentations etc.
• To maintain and develop good relationships with clients by pro-active interactions with clients, leading regular review meetings, and visits to clients.
• To maintain and develop good relationships with insurance companies in order to generate more new business leads.
• To design, perform and drive marketing activities and sales initiatives such as roadshows and trainings.
• To analyze and review customer/ business data regularly.
• To ensure compliance of all business development activities.
• To handle financial dealings, such as GP booking & allocation, premium and commission aging management.
Requirements:
•It is required candidates with related working experience in insurance of marine cargo.
•It is required candidates who speak bilingual languages including English and Chinese.
It's an expatriate position to Germany. The 1st year, you will work at Morrison Express Group (MEC) TWN under Sales Dept., then you will transfer to Germany and report to Regional Key Account Manager.
In this position you are the contact person for Morrisons Key Account Customer(s) and Network.
You are part of the global control tower and need to work in a team, but also need to be able to work independently and proactively.
You are first point of contact in case of questions, requests and issues related to operational activities in the region.
1. Be the first point of operational contact for assigned Key Account(s).
• Closely follow-up on shipments (air, ocean, logistics) for the Key Account(s).
• Pro-actively handle internal and external operational communication between Morrison stations and the Key Account(s).
• Build towards a trusted advisory position to the Key Account(s).
• Ensure a quality operation from Morrison and Morrison agents in the region.
• Respond to operational questions, request and issued related to these accounts.
2. Identify commercial business opportunities and transfer such leads to the Key Account Manager.
3. Monitor, Maintain, Consolidate shipment data for the Key Account.
4. Work on continuous improvement of operational and financial processes.
• Make sure SOP’s are up-to-date and requirements are met by all stakeholders.
• Identify Potential risk in the supply chain and consult with Morrison and customer to minimize this risk.
• Monitor timely and correct invoicing of Morrison’s regional activities.
5. Proactively execute and monitor shipments based on Service Level Agreements.
6. Ensure that data quality is at high levels and prepare various reports for the Key Account to support decision making and QBR’s.
7. Prepare timely daily reports for Key Accounts in line with SOP.
8. Monitor timely & correct invoicing of MEC’s regional activities.

◼︎ Bachelor's degree or higher and 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding
◼︎ MUST fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English and German.
◼︎ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
