The IT Engineer will be part of Supermicro IT Department, System Team, supporting global IT infrastructure and performing the following duties
1. Linux KVM Cluster Management
Implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux KVM clusters integrated with Ceph storage.
2. Monitoring & Alerting
a. Service and infrastructure monitoring using Zabbix and PRTG, including custom template, trigger, and discovery rule configuration.
b. Familiar with notification via instant message (Telegram/Teams)
3. On-Premises Server Operations
Deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of on-premises servers and related infrastructure.
4. Service Ticket Handling
Assist in processing, tracking, and closing IT service requests and incidents.
5. Other Duties
Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor
Responsibilities:
• Provide a high level of customer service while supporting end users. Support includes, but is not limited to, laptops, desktops, smartphones, AV & VC systems, office phone, and voicemail system.
• Respond to telephone calls, emails and personnel requests for technical support.
• Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
• Document, track, and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
• Successfully troubleshoot issues both independently and in collaboration with all available resources.
• Oversee and troubleshoot video conference and telecommunication systems in coordination with regional technical resources.
• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
• Document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems.
• Support and maintain user account information including rights, security, and systems groups.
• Maintain configurations of all laptop and desktop computer systems according to established standards.
• Document and update technology related instructions and procedures as required.
• Maintain problem call history by recording calls in SNOW tracking database.
• Analyze calls data to proactively identify improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate new technologies for potential applicability within BCG.
• Displays tact, patience and the ability to handle stressful situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required such as case team support & marketing event support
Qualifications:
• Institutional training in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or above
• Experience: 5 years or above IT support and troubleshooting experience in a sizeable firm
Skills:
• Proficiency in IT hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of network configurations and maintenance.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Support IT global affairs and responsibility as below:
1. Data Center Infrastructure – Manage power distribution, UPS systems, and cooling/environmental control.
2. Disaster Recovery (DR) – Ensure data center availability and support recovery operations during incidents.
3. AD & Azure AD account & group、Policy、License、Teams
4. Hyper-V Cluster & S2D management and maintenance
5. Other Duties – Perform additional tasks or assignments as directed by the supervisor.
o Design and implement LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and cloud network architecture.
o Maintain and troubleshoot network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
o Monitor network performance, usage, and reliability using network monitoring tools.
o Manage network security configurations including firewalls, VLANs, ACLs, and IDS/IPS systems.
o Implement and maintain network policies, procedures, and documentation.
o Support hybrid cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and ensure secure connectivity.
