The Role:
Logitech's Mechanical and CMF Innovation team is seeking an accomplished Mechanical Engineer to play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge concepts and system-level innovations that redefine the user experience in Logitech's keyboards. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical solutions, electronic systems, and advanced manufacturing processes into world-class products.
As part of a global innovation team driving Mechanical Engineering (ME) strategies, you will focus on designing and delivering robust solutions to enhance performance, quality, and user experience. This role emphasizes precision engineering, mechanism design, and end-to-end system innovation, with a significant focus on cross-functional collaboration with Electronic Engineering (EE) and Mechatronics teams.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in mechanical and part design, system-level development, and a strong understanding of prototyping methodologies. A passion for creating innovative solutions for diverse user needs, including gamers and creative professionals, is a significant advantage.

In this Role, You Will:
1. User-Centric Innovation
- Develop user-focused products by participating in UX (User Experience) research and incorporating findings into mechanical designs.
- Shape product architectures and explore new technologies to deliver compelling user-centered solutions.
2. Mechanical Design and Prototyping
- Design and engineer robust mechanisms and components using tools such as dFMEA, QFD, and FEA simulation.
- Rapidly develop and test functional prototypes that validate manufacturability, functionality, and robustness.
- Engage in tolerance analysis to ensure mechanisms meet performance and aesthetic specifications in high-volume production scenarios.
3. Collaboration and Systems Thinking
- Partner with Industrial Designers and product development teams to advance designs from concept to mass production.
- Collaborate with global supply chain partners, manufacturing teams, and vendors to optimize processes and tooling.
4. Innovation and Systems Engineering
- Drive innovation in products aimed at creative professionals, software developers, and gamers, ensuring functionality, quality, and sustainability are at the forefront.
- Lead design thinking initiatives and leverage rapid prototyping to iterate, validate, and refine your concepts quickly.
5. Technical Excellence
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D documentation for complex mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Define reliability testing requirements, recommend best practices, and quantify risks throughout the product lifecycle.
