• You will ensure the portfolio of contracts in the business follows contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standard procedures.
• You will do tender preparation, negotiations review and comments on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions, analyze prime contract terms to highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk, such as ambiguities, omissions and conflict, as work proceeds.
• You will cooperate with Legal Counsel in Taiwan to draft, negotiate and finalize agreements during the SCM, Sales and Project Execution phases. You will support Sales in RR preparation, attend RR meetings and support the contractual session working closely with Legal Counsel in Taiwan when involved and with the tendering team.
• You will contract execution and claims (from project kick-off to project closure), identify the contract baseline (including terms and conditions, specifications, drawings, estimate, proposal, schedule and other documents incorporated in the contract) and highlight areas of potential risk. You will ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects in the portfolio of contracts (i.e. payments, claims, variation orders, warranties, provisions, guarantees, etc.), verify that both parties to the contract have fulfilled their contractual obligations and there are no responsibilities outstanding.
• You will assess the success of the contract and determine if there are any lessons learned for future contracting, document and communicate to all appropriate parties any deficiency found as part of the closeout process.
• You will develop Contract Management competence with the other functions of the company by conducting pragmatic training periodically. You will provide guidance and leadership on contract management-related matters to cross-department business team members, participate in claim negotiations and provide professional support where required regarding purchasing activities ensuring the flow down of customer terms and conditions to the vendors.
• You will support and manage contract management system including monitoring and archiving executed contracts and legal documents as well as chop use tool and acting as chops custodian for Hitachi Energy in Taiwan.
• You will support preparing, drafting, reviewing, revising and updating contract templates to be used by Hitachi Energy in Taiwan from time to time.
• You will proactively attend and be present in the country, regional and cross-functional, cross-border team meetings as requested and required.
• You will support Legal Counsel in Taiwan for implementing legal and contract affair matters as re-quired and assigned.
• You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
