NZXT is seeking a highly motivated Thermal Engineer to help develop best in class, innovative cooling solutions for Desktop, mobile and wearable systems. The role involves architecture, design, analysis, prototyping and validation of cooling solutions. The position requires working closely with cross-functional teams as well as external suppliers. We need a creative thinker who can solve complex and challenging problems both independently as well as within a team environment. This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-pace environment with tight timing and dynamic constraints.
【Responsibilities】
• Responsible for Desktop and peripheral products thermal design
• Design air/air and liquid/air cooling solution for consumer electronics
• Define thermal policy and control algorithms and characterize system response
• Develop analytical models of conductive and convective thermal systems
• Drive component selection (Heat Exchanger, Fan, Pump, TIM etc…)
• Optimize cooling solutions for all aspects of their performance and reliability
• Develop validation test plans for thermal components to determine if they meet design requirements
• Conduct tests, post-processing data, and communicating results to stakeholders
• Review and maintain DFMEA, and test standards for the thermal system
• Drive development programs with both internal and external engineering teams
• Optimize design for cost and system-level reliability
• Analyze and evaluate the feasibility of thermal design architecture.
• Perform thermal/acoustic estimation/verification against product requirements.
• Research/implement new thermal technologies for high density power module and energy storage products.
• In charge of supplier management and cross functional communication.
• Manage technical projects and collaborate with other internal teams and to support the execution process throughout development cycle.
• Collaborate with design team to get resolution/path forward when appropriate trade-offs required between thermal and other disciplines (ie. EMC, SI, PCB design).
• Keep up to date on appropriate standards and test methodologies.
• Review of design for thermal strategy and implementation.
Requirements
• Proficient in fluid mechanics and heat transfer field
• Familiar with thermal simulation software (Flotherm), 3D CAD tool (Creo)
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Passionate about new technology development for electronics cooling.
• Debugging and bring up experience, in addition to operating data acquisition equipment required.

Develop air / liquid cooling solutions to meet the requirement of various customers.
Engineers should have ability to integrate cooling solutions, good knowledge and experience on heat
transfer and fluid dynamics application, incl. CFD skills for design and development the products.
Need effective communication skills to engage with customer earlier, meet current / future requirements
and lead thermal SPEC in the market.
These senior thermal engineers will design a dedicated cooling control to achieve optimized energy
efficiency. Must have the ability to plan experiments for this job role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Execute thermal design of air cooling and liquid cooling solutions.
2. Communicate with internal and external department to solve issues and make sure can meet target on

3. Thermal & acoustic & mechanical solution consulting & designing
- Thermal simulation, thermal and acoustic test
- Cooler design, heat sink, cold plate, CDU, heat pipe, Fans and so on.

● Conceptualize, plan, and execute the design and development of cooling solutions for server and workstation platforms
Validate thermal compliance of systems and components with regards to industry standards
● Thermal measurements and analysis of cooling systems and components
● Summarize and present lab results to engineering teams, vendors, and customers
● Investigate and identify new techniques to advance thermal developments and validations
● Collaborate with motherboard, mechanical, and server teams for system designs and environmental tests
● Interface with contract vendors for product developments and improvement recommendations
1. Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and
computational fluid dynamics simulations.
2. Experience with liquid cooled and air-cooled design.
3. Validate and test the cooling system, and establish a database for subsequent
system use.
4. Develop thermal systems with associated structures, mechanisms, and
instrumentation elements to solve customer challenges, and see these elements
through build, test, integration, and operation.
5. Perform trades within the mechanical and thermal systems to provide
performance and system resource balance.
6. Design cooling system for battery system to ensure battery is developed with
appropriate requirements, interfaces, and interactions to achieve specific
performance targets.
Responsibilities:
- Participate and lead in development efforts in thermal solutions, engage and closely collaborate with suppliers to deliver high quality products
- Identify technology risks, contribute to overall system architecture and optimize Total - Cost of Ownership, work with cross functional teams
- Take responsibility for thermal design, including requirements gathering, concepts generation and detailed design, analysis and verification testing, cross-functional reviews
- Design and specification of thermal designs including heat sinks, heat exchangers, fans, thermal controls and all supporting equipment during the product development cycle
