Responsibilities:
• Leads a complex individual supply chain sub-category; including data and industry analysis; reports results to senior managers.
• Drive components strategy and look into leveraging business volume for further cost saving and cost avoidance opportunities.
• Align and drive 2nd source initiatives to drive future generation of liquid cooling technology acquisition and preserving supply agility.
• Develops and utilizes supply chain, business, and financial modeling tools.
• Leads Supplier Selection Activities.
• Drive Geo-Diversity effort with target Geo-diversity rate
• Negotiates and completes contracts with complex suppliers.
• Re-look commodity subcategories classifications and realign stakeholders to agreement.
• Partners with suppliers in minor strategic development.
• Provides input on risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management and operation strategies.
• Supports end-to-end sourcing and NPI materials escalation
• Ensures contract compliance with suppliers
• Identifies challenging contract risk areas.
• Negotiates acceptable contracting outcomes using known solutions.
• Advises senior level business leaders on contract risk areas.
Education and Experience Required:
• First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
• Typically 6-10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain function with strong thermal knowledge
• Experienced in drafting contract solutions in known contract risk areas to obtain acceptable outcomes with limited supervision.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strategic Sourcing
• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders (Engineering, PM, Quality, Operations)
• Align commodity plans with company financial, sustainability, and innovation goals.
Commercial & Contract Negotiation
• Lead complex negotiations and manage commercial agreements (SOW, LTA, purchasing contracts).
• Deliver cost transparency, savings initiatives, and favorable terms to mitigate risks.
Global Supply Base & Geo-Diversification
• Execute geo-diversification and dual-sourcing strategies to ensure supply continuity.
• Drive supplier capacity expansion, BCP (Business Continuity Plan), and risk mitigation across regions.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Enablement
• Accelerate product time-to-market by partnering with R&D and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure design-for-supply-chain readiness, parts availability, and contract alignment for launch.
End-to-End Supply Chain & Supplier Management
• Manage the full lifecycle: RFQ execution, cost modeling, value analysis (VAVE), and supplier performance reviews (QBR).
• Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to enhance innovation, quality, and long-term competitiveness.
Leadership & Influence
• Provide thought leadership within procurement, influencing executive stakeholders and supplier executives.
• Mentor junior commodity managers, driving best practices and continuous improvement.
Data-Driven Decision Making
• Leverage advanced cost modeling, market intelligence, and analytics to support decisions.
• Monitor industry trends (materials, tariffs, geopolitical risks) to proactively adjust sourcing strategies.
