Key Responsibilities:
Conduct electrical design activities, including hardware selection, system structure design, and review of electrical schematic drawings.
Develop control software by defining software functional specifications and programming PLC, HMI, SCADA systems.
Participate in various projects, including capital expansion, new technology development, solution migration, and process control improvement.
Engage in all phases of the project lifecycle, from system design to installation, start-up, training, and technology transfer.
Utilize advanced skills in PLC, HMI, SCADA, automation integration, and data transfer as required by each project.
Demonstrate fundamental knowledge and provide equipment control logic and flow.
Willingness to travel and provide weekend and shift coverage as needed for projects.
Required Skills:
Familiarity with PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and SERVO system programming and application.
Strong understanding of electrical design practices, machine/motion control systems, electro-mechanical systems, VFD and Servo programming, communication protocols, and practical application.
Ensure proactive safety measures for all equipment and processes, adhering to NEC, NFPA, and other relevant safety codes.
Experience in construction system structure in a plant network environment or ISA-95 architecture, including higher-level communications protocols.
Ability to gain a fundamental understanding of process issues and utilize troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Strictly follow safety procedures and ensure awareness, such as Lock-Out Tag-Out.
Desired Skills:
• Proficiency in various PLC and HMI systems, such as Allen Bradley, SIEMENS, Mitsubishi, etc.
• Experience in computer languages for industrial control, such as C, C++, C#, VBA, Python, etc., with entire system construction.
• Knowledge of advanced control algorithms, such as MIMO, IMC, MPC development with MATLAB or Python.
• Experience in industrial data systems with OSI PI or SQL database.
• Proficiency in electrical drawing skills, such as AutoCAD and EPLAN.
• Understanding of industrial process concepts and other Manufacturing Excellence skills, such as DMAIC, KT, FEMA, SIPOC, and Project Management skills.
